The Shimano Big Baitrunner XTA features the Baitrunner mode in the original design with free spool adjustment in the rear of the reel and drag power adjustment in the front of the reel with the drag knob.
Power, performance, and reliability is very high with this reel, featuring 5 ARB bearings, a roller bearing, machined aluminium handle, brass pinion gear and a cold forged drive gear. The gear ratio of 4.6:1 enables a handle retrieve per crank of 110cm and the enormous drag power of 14kg means stopping XOS snapper and kingfish in their tracks is a cinch.
