The rod blank is strong, stiff and yet light of weight. The Hi-Power X blank provides excellent casting distance and accuracy. The 425 models are fitted with Fuji Lowrider Alconite Lowrider guides and Fuji DPS reel seats. The 450 models are fitted with Fuji K-Type Alconite guides and Fuji DPS reel seats. The tip guide of all models is a Fuji Stainless Steel SiC guide. Both lengths come in a tubular and solid tip version. All rods have the Cast Control Grip to facilitate a strong hold when casting.
FEATURE Technology Details
Hi-Power X construction uses diagonally-wrapped carbon tape to form an array of "X" shapes on the rod blank's outermost layer. The width of the tape, its winding angle and the part of the rod being wrapped are fine-tuned according to the target fish species. This manufacturing process allows Shimano to adjust these wraps during construction for precise actions, enhanced overall strength and added twist resistance. In short, Hi-Power X construction delivers sharp and crisp rod control for the angler.
